Thomas Wayne Shaw

May 4, 2022

Thomas Wayne Shaw, 43, of Ocklawaha, Florida (formerly of Melrose, Fl), passed away at home with his family at his side on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. He suffered complications from a recent diagnosis of endocarditis with sepsis.

As a young man, Tommy was an excellent athlete and an avid Gator football fan. His chosen profession was construction, once owning his own business. In the last few years, he enjoyed working his sawmill and making beautiful pieces from the milled wood. He held a special love for his slice of Heaven in the Ocala National Forest where he resided. His remains will be placed under a beautiful oak tree there, chosen by him.

Tommy is survived by his father, Wayne Shaw, mother, Mary Sue Rister (Bill), sister Kimberly Shaw Lester (Scott), brother, Michael Shaw (Crissy), daughter Holle Manning, son Noah Shaw and many nieces and nephews. Also left to grieve him are his best friends Russ and Laurie Reese.

A memorial will be held at his mother's home at a later date. Please contact the Family for more information. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you to please donate to your favorite charity.

  1. All my favorites have been taken so prematurely. It's not fair and it hurts. I believe God knows what He's doing and he's got his arms wrapped around you right now. We will be together again someday. Until then you'll be in my heart and dreams.

  2. You will ALWAYS be my baby. Being your mama was the BEST "hard" thing I ever did, and if I could do it all over again, I would. I know it was probably a boat God sent to take you home! I don't know how I'll find the courage or strength to live in a world that no longer includes you, so stay close to remind me you aren't really gone…!

  3. I'm lost since your memorial. Please tell me to get up, stop being a sissy and move on. You will always be loved.

  4. I just love you so much. Did you know? Every time I saw you my heart warmed, because you were YOU, and that was enough.
