Valarie Ann Ward, age 60, of Old Town, Florida, passed away on January 20, 2026. She was born on May 19, 1965, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
Valarie was a free spirit with a warm heart and an infectious love for life. She found her greatest joy in the simple pleasures like casting a fishing line into calm waters, spending long days at the beach with the sun on her face, and laughing late into the night with family and friends. Wherever Valarie went, good times followed. She had a special way of bringing people together, making everyone feel welcome, and turning ordinary moments into cherished memories.
Family meant everything to Valarie. She deeply loved her family and friends and valued time spent together above all else. Her laughter, kindness, and easygoing nature will be remembered by all who knew her.
Valarie is survived by her beloved son, Dalton Ward, her only living child and the pride and joy of her life.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Kendall Ward, age 54, the father of her children, and by her oldest son, Jordon Ward, age 25. She was also preceded in death by other loved family members who welcomed her home with open arms.
Though her time with us feels far too short, Valarie’s spirit will live on in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.”
Crevasse’s Simple Cremation is honored to serve the Ward family.

Fly high Val!
Love without measure … understanding and grace between us.
A pure soul and a harsh world…
I thank God you are now that peace you forever sought.
My comfort comes in knowing this …
yet my heart breaks missing you.
We will meet again my sister…
Of that I am sure. 🌈✝️
RIP Valerie! 😇🙏💔🕯
