Valeria Lee Meek

Valeria Lee Lawrence-Meek age 77, of Old Town Florida passed away peacefully at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida on April 19, 2024 following a lengthy battle with liver disease. Valeria Lee was born on October 22, 1946 in Dover, Ohio to the late Frank "Buss" Lawrence & June Lawrence who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Zoey Castillo of Carlsbad, New Mexico.

She leaves behind the love of her life, her husband, Carl E Meek, her children, Frank Brent Meek & Karla Meek of Florida, Virginia (Steven) Skinner of Texas & Christina (David) Jasmer of Wisconsin, a sister Barbara (Stanley) Gerber, two nieces Melissa (Scott) Rodhe and Michele (Jeff) Huebner of Ohio. Additionally, her 15 grandchildren were her pride and joy, Robert Meek, Shaun Meek, Frank Meek Jr, Corey Meek of New Mexico, Trevor (Laycee) Striker, Mark Castillo, Brianna (Andrew) Hoover, Shannon Striker of Ohio, Raylan & Alexandria Skinner of Texas, Parker, Logan, Barrett, and Kylee Jasmer of Wisconsin, 12 great grandchildren, and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends were her everything. In her younger days when she wasn't working, she could often be found outdoors. She loved riding her Harley, going camping, fishing, and gardening. Her sister Barbara and her lifelong best friend Phyllis Borroum of Texas described her best when they said she lived life to the fullest and lived by her own rules! She will be forever in our hearts and deeply missed!
