Victoria Lynn Free, age 77, of Old Town, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 16th 2025, under the compassionate care of Hospice at Tri-County Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family.
Known affectionately by many names — GG, Ms. Vicki, Grandma Peanut, and even Young Geeg by her eldest grandchildren — Victoria brought joy, laughter, and energy wherever she went. She was the life of the party, always on the hunt for the best peanut deals and proudly serving them to friends and family alike.
Victoria was a devoted grandmother who rarely missed a game, showing up with her signature air horn and school colors to cheer on her grandchildren with unwavering enthusiasm. Her love for sports extended beyond the bleachers — she was a die-hard Florida Gators fan, with a special admiration for Tim Tebow, and a loyal supporter of the Dallas Cowboys and any team her grandchildren played for.
She will be deeply missed by her siblings, Kathy Rieger, Mitch Free, and John Free; her daughters, Jody (Phil) Hostetler of Ohio, Anjenette Renicker, and Allison (Lee) Pelletier of Florida; her grandchildren, Codey Mesa, Amanda Mesa, Bethany Griffith, Julienne Chaparro, and Julius Chaparro; and her great-grandchildren, Cayden Mesa, Kynlee Mesa, and Wrennen Mesa, as well as all of her nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Victoria’s wishes, she will be cremated. The family will gather privately to celebrate her life and honor the many memories they shared with her.
