Wayne Paul Bousquet

Wayne Paul Bousquet passed away peacefully in his home in High Springs, FL in June 2023 at the age of 74.  He was born in Worcester, MA in July 1948 to Raymond and Dorothy Bousquet.  

He leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Marilyn Bousquet, and children, Tracie Cassady and husband Donnie of Whitefield, NH; Kelley Bousquet of Charleston, NH; Terra Buckley and husband, Dave of Berkley Heights, NJ; Wayne Bousquet II and wife Veronica of Alachua, FL; and Michelle Bousquet of Plantation, FL.

He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Paige Seguin, Ian Sweeney, Hannah Wesley, twins Ivy and Ava Bousquet, Payton Buckley, Leo Buckley and his great grandson, Tristan Seguin.  He is survived by his brothers Craig Bousquet of Ramona CA; Todd Bousquet and wife Nancy of Holden, MA; and sister Bonnie Rossiter and husband John of Vero Beach, FL. He also leaves his much-loved nieces and nephews and very dear friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Dorothy, and his brother, Gary.

At 17 years old, Wayne joined the Navy and served 4 years as a Radarman.  He attended college in the evenings and obtained an Associates degree in Business in 1973.  He retired from the nuclear power industry in 2008 as a Director at Clinton Nuclear Power Station in Clinton, IL.   

Wayne’s hobbies included fishing, golfing, and shooting pool.  He and his wife, Marilyn, enjoyed many years of retirement oceanside, surf fishing, snorkeling, boating, and walking the beach. He loved to fish; for 12 years he went to Minaki Ontario, Canada, with his son, brothers and good friends. Most of his life he golfed with family and friends. Each year he organized a family golf tournament dubbed, “The French Open”, a tradition started by his father.  Family and close friends attended The French Open in  different locations in the country each year.  Wayne was an avid pool player. He was a member of the American Legion Post 164 in Boynton Beach, FL where he played pool and participated in tournaments.

In 2019, Wayne and Marilyn built a home in High Springs, FL...a place where family and friends are always welcome.
