William Alan Northsea's captivating life ended abruptly on August 19, 2022. He was born on July 14, 1952 to George Albin Northsea and Elizabeth Ann Northsea in Rockford, Illinois. Bill was a Renaissance Man with a Brilliant Mind. His candid eye and attention to detail aided him in creating dazzling stain glass pieces and capturing years of photos. But, his true aspiration was to be an architect. He attended the University of Florida, graduating with a Master's Degree in Architecture. The North Central Florida area has numerous building which he meticulously designed, such as Fire Stations, Banks, Memory-Care facilities, The Villages, Commercial Buildings(such as Sonny's, Burger King), churches, sorority houses and medical office buildings. With a minor in Sociology, he listened carefully to his clients to create unique a living space. no challenges were too difficult for him, even building a basement for someone's boat.
Bill would say his family brought him pure Joy, laughter and love. In 1980, he married Cynthia Lee Ferguson. They believed in a strong work ethic, respect for others, integrity, and doing the right thing. These values were used to raise their two sons, Michael William Northsea(Bonnie) and Tyler Sven Northsea. The weekends were filled with outdoor activities at St. Augustine Beach, the Rainbow River or a ballpark. For years, he devoted time to coaching children in sports, such as soccer and baseball. His motto was, "Go have Fun!" He was an avid Gator Baseball and Football fan, and known for his masterful "themed" grilling at tailgates.
His Viking Ship departed for distant shores in search of new adventures. He leaves behind, his wife, Cyndy, two sons, Michael William Northsea(Bonnie), Tyler Sven Northsea, three Swedish grandchildren, Behr Michaelson Northsea, Willem Wolf Northsea and Odin Lynx Northsea, as well as a devoted brother, Steven(Michel) Northsea and a sister, Louana Jean Northsea, plus numerous relatives and friends to share his stories. Love you, Free Bird! I am taking these Broken Wings and learning to Fly!!!

Cyndy, Mike, Tyler and the entire Northsea family, we are so saddened by the loss of your Bill: husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. There was nothing quite like the annual visit to OC, sitting on either the beach, or the porch (on the boardwalk!!!!) with Bill and Cyndy. We loved the comaraderie, the friendship, his sharing photos of the family, and the stories that were shared. And his tacos!!! My hope for everyone is that time and all the memories will bring some peace and lessen your pain. Our love, thoughts and continued prayers are still being sent your way…
Miss you Pops! Have some mead and ribs for me in Valhalla! I know you are smiling down on your Vikings grandkids!
Love you Pops!
Cyndi, Michael and Tyler, may God’s Grace assuage your grief with sweet memories of Bill’s devotion and love for you. May your pain from Bill’s physical absence be gradually overcome with inspiration and hope for life that lies ahead as he would want. Grace and Peace, now and forever.Â
My life is not the same as it was before August 19th. My little brother. as he always wanted to do. has rushed ahead into the next adventure, beating his big brother as he often did in the race of life. What has not changed are my memories of the little guy who grew to be 5 inches taller than me. Little Billy will always remain in my mind as the three-year old tugging my hand. Bill was an adventurous sort as a youth, always rushing in, always getting me in trouble for not watching him close enough. But gosh, he was fast. I remember the riding tricycles down stairways, the sitting on cactus, the having to have a rope tied to his belt when visiting the Grand Canyon, to confronting rattlesnakes head on, to wrestling alligators, to being run over by a motorcycle at the races. I remember when he designed my house 39 years ago What a creative architect! He could fit the space to the people that lived there. I do not say farewell to my brother because he is always here with me in so many more memories. We miss you Bill. I know you are in the arms of Jesus and will say hello to all those who went before us. Love, Steve
Cindy, you and the kids are in our hearts and prayersÂ

Cyndy, Michael, Tyler,
So sorry to learn that Bill / your dad has passed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. It's been a while since we've seen each other, but our memories are strong. Little League was a fun time. Westside Park seemed like a second home. Between baseball practice and the games it was great watching the boys grow up. It really was something that Bill loved to do. We always enjoyed your family's company.
May you find comfort in your memories.
