Richard Bridwell

August 1, 2024

Richard E. Bridwell, aged 68, of Dunnellon, Florida was called to his eternal rest on the 1st of August, 2024. Born on the 2nd of September, 1955, in the city of Greenville, South Carolina, Richard was a proud veteran who served his nation with honor in the United States Navy. His patriotic service was a reflection of his steadfast character and love for his country. Upon completing his military duty, Richard channeled his energetic work ethic into his profession as a Triple Master Mechanic, specializing in both diesel and gasoline engines, as well as demonstrating his adeptness in carpentry. His hands were skilled, his work was reputable, and his contributions to his field were marked by a commitment to excellence.

Richard was a man of faith, dedicated to Christian values, and found solace and strength in the Holy Scriptures. His time away from work was often spent tending to his bees and nurturing his garden, hobbies that showcased his reverence for God's creation and his lifelong pursuit of learning. These pastimes brought him joy and peace.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon Bridwell, his devoted daughter, Kelly Douglas, and her spouse, Greg Douglas and treasured by his sister-in-law Kathy Borie. Richard's memory will be treasured by his siblings: Michael, Elaine, and Ellen, along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He joins in the kingdom of Heaven his late parents, Nadine and George Bridwell.

The Bridwell family entrusts Richard's final arrangements to Crevasse’s Simple Cremation in Ocala, Florida. A man of quiet strength and dignity, Richard's life will be celebrated in a manner that honors the legacy of love and commitment he leaves behind. His spirit will live on in the memories of those who knew and loved him.
