Paul Yackman, 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 28, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on April 12, 1931, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Theodor and Julia Yackman.

A man defined by his incredible work ethic and practical mind, Paul dedicated his life to his trade as a lifelong auto mechanic. Dedicated to his craft, he spent decades fixing what was broken and keeping his community moving forward. Above all, Paul was a dedicated Jehovah’s Witness, finding deep strength, purpose, and community in his faith throughout his life.

Paul grew up as one of six children. He was preceded in death by four of his beloved siblings, as well as his cherished wives, who each held a special place in his life’s journey.

His legacy lives on through his surviving children: Stephen Yackman and his wife, Pamela; Paul Yackman; David Yackman and his wife, Sherry; and Daniel Yackman and his wife, Holly. He is also survived by his dear sister, Anna Leitner of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, along with many extended family members, friends, and his spiritual brothers and sisters in the congregation who loved him dearly.

Information regarding a memorial service to celebrate Paul’s life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Paul’s memory to the Haven Foundation at https://havenhospice.com/donate.

Crevasse’s Simple Cremation is honored to serve the Yackman family.
