Arnold "Gene" Hendrix

September 23, 2018

Arnold Eugene (Gene) Hendrix passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 23rd, 2018 at home in Summerfield, FL., surrounded by family after an extended illness. He was 73. He retired from the Teamsters, having spent most of his adult life as an over-the-road truck driver for USF Freightways, Inc. He was an Army veteran, a member of the Sharonville, OH Masonic Lodge and Al Menah Shriners in Nashville TN. He was an avid golfer and loved to ride his Harley Davidson. He was a most beloved husband, father and grandfather. He leaves behind his wife, Jacqueline (Locke), children Tami Diamond, Melissa Hendrix, Arnold Hendrix, Jr (Bruce) and Dawn Atherton, stepson James Ardis Pierce, as well as a number of grandchildren and cousins.  We ask that on his 74th birthday, October 7th, at 8:00 PM, CST, we all take 5 minutes of quiet time to remember him and wish him Happy Birthday in Heaven.
