Billy J. Myrick, 83

Billy “Bill” J. Myrick, 83, passed away peacefully in the care of Haven Hospice, ET York Care Center on Thursday, February 18, 2021 in Gainesville, Florida. He was born April 15, 1937 to Clifton and Rachel (Griffin) Myrick in Ocilla, Georgia. On August 21, 1955 he married Neta Russell in Peoria, Illinois. Bill enjoyed boating, fishing, golfing and karaoke. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and served in the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Neta; his son, David Myrick of Pekin, Illinois and 2 daughters Jayna (Chuck) Mason of Gainesville, Florida and Marissa Myrick of Ocala, Florida; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a son, Gerald ”Jerry” Myrick.

Aunt Neta may God hold you in his arms now and forever until you and Uncle Bill are together again I send David , Jayna , Marissa and there Families All MY Love I will miss Uncle Bill so much I remember when I got him into Karaoke Aunt Neta would always tease and say oh no Linda you’ve created a monster LOL how he love to sing now he’s up there with all the angels singing with them may God bless you all and keep you close and safe thanks for the memories Uncle Bill your niece and nephew Norman and Linda Young
