Bradley Richard Burch (Brad) age 49 of Waldo, FL passed away on March 13, 2021.
Brad was born on April 26, 1971 in Gainesville, FL to James Alfred Burch JR. and the late Ruth Jane Goddard Burch. Brad was their middle child and only son. He graduated from Mount Dora High School in 1989 and then joined the Air Force as an Armament Systems Airman. After the Air Force, Brad worked in management before 13 years ago, he was blessed to join the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office as a Detention Officer. Brad loved his family and his country.
Brad was preceded in death by Michelle, the mother of his three daughters. He later married his childhood sweetheart, Elizabeth and blended their family of four beautiful children (3 daughters and 1 son) Brad was a devoted family man and nothing meant more to him than his family. He loved the Lord with all his heart.
Brad loved to talk, mostly sharing his wonderful stories, his love for the Lord and to share his dreams for his family. Brad would laugh from deep inside; you could not help but to feel joy from within when you were with him. That laugh will be missed by everyone who knew him. Brad treated everyone he met with respect and kindness. Brad was selfless, he gave all of himself to everyone he loved. His unselfishness and love never wavered and he always found a silver lining in any situation. We were all blessed to have had him in our lives. Brad was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to be outside grilling for his family (chicken of course LOL), making bonfires, fishing, camping, working in his yard, spending time in St. Augustine and most importantly making memories with those he loved. Brad helped his children with their endeavors and he always took on children as his own. He was a dad to any child that needed a dad. Brad was the best example of Jesus’s love for us. He truly was Superman. Elizabeth and Brad would always say to each other, "I love you more than yesterday but not as much as tomorrow". Every day spent loving Brad was a beautiful gift from God. These memories will keep him close and, in our hearts, forever.
Brad is preceded in death by his wife Michelle Burch, his mother Ruth Jane Goddard Burch, his maternal grandparents Harry and Elsie Goddard, his grandfather James Alfred Burch SR., his grandfather Reeves(Bud) Johnson, his aunts Cynthia Burch, Kim Griffin, and his uncles Earl Goddard and Richard Burch. I sure will miss you Brad. You were my other dad, and you taught me so much. You were so generous and helpful no matter how big or small the task was. You left such a big impact on my life. I love you and miss you ❤
Brad was a dad to me when i needed one most. Him and Liz always welcomed me and my daughter to their home with love and open arms. I'm still at lost of words and dont understand why God takes the best ones home so early. He will truely be missed and I wish my son would of been able to meet his uncle brad and get to know how much of a wonderful great loving man he was for everyone he considered family.
To Liz and family I love you guys
