Carrie Ann Young (Closson), 54 of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on October 23, 2024, at Baptist Medical Center - South - Community Hospice.
Carrie was born on July 12, 1970, to Carrol and Sandy Closson of Jacksonville, Florida. Carrie graduated from Wolfson High School in 1988 where she was a star softball player and was a friend to many.
Carrie was a resident of Jacksonville, Florida for 54 years and shared a wonderful life with her husband Tim Young and two children, Shaun Marie Young (34) and Austin Michael Young (29) and her beloved dog, Max.
Carrie's hobbies were watching Florida State football, cooking, camping, going out on the boat and enjoying her favorite music and movies.
Surviving family members include her daughter Shaun Marie Young, son Austin Michael Young, mother Sandra Annette Grimsley Closson, brothers Scott Closson and Craig Closson and several sister and brothers-in-laws, and several wonderful nieces and nephews that she adored tremendously.
She is preceded in death by Timothy Michael Young (husband) and Carrol Closson (father).
Carrie loved life and loved living it with her family and friends. She never knew a stranger and had the biggest heart and smile. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her and will remain in our hearts forever.
