Second wife named “Nancy” here. Charlie- you were always the crazy, complicated, and hilarious one. You were “Charles Harold Hernden-Verndenburger, III” and “Charlie Sureshot” (his “calling card” was a single bullet placed into your hand) and sometimes even “Chuck”. It is your “fault” my middle name is now “Lauren”….. My world is sadder today and every day hereafter. Thank you for paying attention 38 years ago to the EMT trainee…. Fly high!
