Choy A Soliz

Choy’s story starts on July, 31, 1953, the oldest child to Gerald and Barbara Fidler. Choy was born in Miami, Florida, she loved school, spending time in the drama department. She devoted free time to attending church with her grandparents. In high school, Choy was a varsity cheerleader at N. Miami High. It was there in 1971, she met the love of her life, Philip Soliz. They were married in 1973 until her death on November 5, 2019 due to long term post bone marrow transplant complications. Choy was a phenomenal baker, winning numerous awards. Also, she was a private pilot for many years. One of her most amazing accomplishments was being a National Record holder Women’s Air Pistol champion. Winning several regional, state and national matches. Choy attended the Olympic Training Facility in Colorado Springs, Co and competed for the Olympic Shooting Team. Her most important role was being a wife and mother. Her other talents included wind surfing, roller blading, clogging, sewing (crocheting, quilting), traveling and later in life she was an active bowler. Choy and her husband Philip, moved to Lake City, Florida in 2000, where she would work until retirement at State Farm Insurance. Loved ones that cleared the path are her infant daughter, Amelia, her father Gerald Fidler and her mother in law Carol Jaeger. Loved ones that will miss Choy until they meet again are her husband, Philip Soliz, her son Andrew Soliz, her mother Barbara Fidler, sisters Tina and Belinda Fidler, father in law Vince Soliz, nephews Ewen and Colt Adams, CJ, Vincent and Stephen Respondi.

Choy Ann was an amazing l ady to know .She would do anything for anyone she had such a caring heart. Her and Phil are great friends they showed us so many neat places off the beaten . We all got busy though and Ann got sicker but we still cherrish the time we shared, She always had a smile ,no matter how much pain she was in she was so positive it was hard to tell she had cancer what a fighter she was. Now she is smiling in Heaven with no pain. We will miss her but knowing where she is puts a smile on our faces. God Bless Phil and Andy and she would want all of us to keep living our best lives till the day we meet again. Ly guys
I had the pleasure of meeting Choy a little over a year ago. In that short time, she taught me so much about life with his amazing outlook. I’ve never met someone with so my positivity that it overflows into you! I always looked forward to our visits and will miss her dearly, but I know she is in glory and her suffering her on earth is over. My prayers and thoughts are with her loved ones.  Â
I loved Choy growing up. Â Will never forget her kind face and hugs daily. Â She will be dearly missedÂ
I have known Choy and her husband Phil as well as Andy for almost twenty years. I was her then very young new dentist fresh out of school. She was truly a special lady. We became fast friends and I had the joy of getting to know her personally over the years. She is one of the most positive, resilient, loving and generous people I have ever met. Not many people could have fought the way she did through trials and tribulations. I truly admire her and love her and I will miss her hugs, her smiles, her spirit and seeing her in the office. We have lost a great person here on earth but I have no doubt that she has earned her place at the highest level of angels in heaven. Rest In Peace my Choy….You made an impact on me and everyone you met. Love you so…I’ll try to keep Phil in line for you😘
Choy always wore a smile. She was a bundle of energy in high school and there was nothing she could not do. She was a great role model for me during our cheerleading days. She will be missed and remembered fondly.Â
Simply put, thank you for being my mom. Thank you for loving me and dad. Thank you for your selflessness. I am so glad I had a chance to hold your hand one last time. It’s me and dad now. We got this. Thank you for visiting me in my dreams, please do it again.Â

Nothing we can add that everybody else has not already said! (What a lovely lady)! We lost touch with Phil and Choy, then recently reunited, and it was like we had never been apart. Still the laughter (especially about her cooking skills and my non-skills), and sweet smiling face we had always known. Choy taught us how to always be positive through any circumstance. Phil and John always had cars or airplanes to talk about. Choy and Sharon always talked about our adventures with our boys. In her own words, "It is okay," until we meet again at Jesus feet. Our prayers are with you, Phil and Andy.
Your suffering is finally over. Mine has just started, but we'll be together again in a blink of an eye.
