In Loving Memory of Christina Ann Brown
August 18, 1970 – October 28, 2026
Christina Ann Brown, lovingly known as “Chrissy,” 56, passed away on October 28, 2026, at 9:43 a.m. in Gainesville, Florida, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was a resident of Old Town, Florida.
Christina was born on August 18, 1970, in Michigan. She spent her childhood growing up there before moving to Florida in her early teenage years. Florida became the place she would call home, where she built her life and raised her family.
Christina was a proud and dedicated medical assistant who devoted her career to caring for others, especially the elderly and pediatric patients. Caring for people was more than just a profession to her; it was a reflection of the compassion she carried throughout her life.
Outside of work, Chrissy found happiness in the simple things. She enjoyed cooking and sharing meals with her family, but some of her favorite moments were spent sitting on the back porch with a cup of coffee in hand, watching her grandchildren play. Those quiet moments, surrounded by the people she loved most, were among her greatest treasures. She was a proud grandmother to 16 grandchildren, with one more little blessing on the way. Each of them held a special place in her heart.
Chrissy’s greatest legacy is the family she leaves behind. She is survived by her eight beloved children, Matthew Mobley, Brooklyn (Daniel) Perryman, Dakota (Dalas) Stutts, Hunter (Kenlee) Brown, Ashytan (Preston) Crawford, Courtney (Trenton) Osteen, Keatan (Leticia) Brown, and Glynda (Josh) Brown. She is also survived by her siblings, Robert Winnie, Brenda Sellers, Maryann Winnie, and Melisa Revels, along with her 16 grandchildren and one grandchild on the way.
Chrissy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harvey Brown; her parents, Hazel Erleane Winnie and Angus Neil Winnie; her sisters, Debra Winnie and Kim Stanford; and her brother, Allen Winnie.
Although Chrissy’s battle with cancer was long and difficult, she will be remembered for the love she gave, the family she cherished, and the countless memories she leaves behind. Her absence will be felt in every family gathering, every shared meal, and every quiet cup of coffee on the back porch.
While her family finds comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering, the loss of her presence leaves a space that can never be filled. Her legacy will live on through her children, grandchildren, and everyone whose life she touched.
In accordance with the family’s wishes, a private service will be held to honor and celebrate Chrissy’s life. The family appreciates everyone’s love, prayers, and understanding during this difficult time.

Prayers for your family and tell Renee I miss her!!
Chrissy was an amazing person and nurse
In fact I used to go to family medical just because she was there and I knew that I would be treated with respect and dignity
I find it amazing that these multiple children and grandchildren are running around with her heart still inside of them
Her legacy will live on inside of them and by association us, and continue to blossom
I miss you 🧡
