  9. Dan was absolutely one of the nicest people I knew in Florida. Always a kind of word always a friendly smile didn’t matter who you were. He was a true reflection of the character of Christ. I’m having a hard time believing he’s gone so young. My sincerest condolences for the family. The world is definitely a lesser place without him. Chip Reams

  11. I’m deeply saddened by the loss of Dan. He was not only incredibly smart and accomplished, but also just a genuinely good person. In the time we spent together organizing his retirement, I had the privilege of getting to know him beyond his extraordinary 39-year career. Finding out and talking humbly about leading engineering teams across the LCS, AV-8B, CH-53, and F-14 programs, or about his published work for DIS, only made me appreciate even more how much he contributed to the Navy and to the Warfighters he cared so much about. But what stayed with me most was his kindness, his curiosity, and how easy he was to befriend. I often kept a soft thought of him and wondered how he was doing after his retirement… My heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family and everyone who loved him.

  12. Sue, Eric, and Kathleen,

I want to express my deepest condolences on the loss of your husband, father, and grandfather. I worked closely with Dan for many years and know how much he loved you all. He was a great friend and coworker and will be missed greatly. I pray that you can find comfort in each other and the immense love that he had for you all. My prayers are with you all.
