Daniel Ryan Concelmo, 39, passed away at his home on 09/17/2026 in Archer, Florida. Daniel was born in Gainesville, Florida on 10/21/1986 to Robert and Diane Concelmo, and was the older brother to Matthew Concelmo
Living with cerebral palsy hardly prevented Daniel from positively impacting the lives of everyone he encountered – family, friends, caregivers, and health professionals. Daniel graduated from Sidney Lanier School. By participating in a yearly class for graduate dietetic students from the University of Florida, Daniel was instrumental in training future dietitians on home nutrition support.
Daniel loved watching movies with his family and listening to music. Daniel lent his ear to anyone who needed it and was always willing to be a shoulder to cry upon. Daniel’s perseverance and strength throughout his life gave motivation to all. He was our Superman
Daniel was preceded in death by his mother, Diane Concelmo. Surviving Daniel is his father Robert Concelmo and stepmother Bobbi Henken. Also surviving are his brother and sister-in-law Matthew and Kirsi (White) Concelmo, stepbrother William Henken, and stepsister Nicole Howe and family.
A special thanks to the 30+ caretakers who cared for Daniel throughout his life, many of whom have become family within the Concelmo household. Daniel’s situation was unique and required specialized care, and the expertise and love that each caretaker provided ensured a smile was always planted on his face.
So many people loved Daniel. He was a wonderful person who touched every life he came in contact with. His big smile will forever be etched in our minds.
