Darryl Lee Adams

May 25, 1966 ~ March 3, 2026

Born in: Covington, Kentucky
Resided in: Jacksonville , Florida

Darryl Adams, age 59, passed away peacefully at his home in Jacksonville, Florida, on March 3, 2026, following a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer.

Born and raised in the rolling hills of Kentucky, Darryl carried a spirit of service and a relentless work ethic throughout his life. He proudly served in the United States Air Force as a Ground Radio Communications Specialist, earning awards such as the Air Force Commendation Medal, two Air Force Achievement Medals, and several letters of commendation. Following his service, he earned his certification as an HVAC technician and worked diligently over his career to refine his craft, providing the pinnacle of quality service to his clients.

To Darryl, there was no such thing as “good enough.” He was a man who believed that if a job was worth doing, it was worth doing right. This meticulous nature made him a pillar of reliability for his family, friends, and clients. Beneath his hardworking exterior was a deeply selfless soul—the kind of man who would drop everything to help a friend, never asking for anything in return. When he wasn’t perfecting a project, Darryl found happiness in gardening, playing with his dog, and enjoying time on the water with family and friends.

Darryl was predeceased by his father, Ivan Lewis Adams, and his brother, Anthony Adams. He is survived by his devoted wife, Betty Adams; his mother, Bernice Weber; his stepmother, Margie Adams; his beloved uncle, Bob Brock; his brothers, Lewis Adams (Melissa), Nathan Adams, and Jonathan Adams; his sisters, Denise Weber and Susan Cox; and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members in Kentucky and Florida. He also leaves behind a community of friends and colleagues—including those at River City Church and Thermal Engineering—who will miss his steady hand and generous heart.

In honor of Darryl’s life, the family encourages you to take a moment to do something kind for a neighbor or to simply enjoy a quiet sunset over the water.

Crevasse’s Simple Cremation is honored to serve the Adams family.
