Denise Helen Mancini

Denise Helen Mancini, 61, of Ocala, FL passed away on October 2, 2026 after a long illness.

Denise was born on December 14, 1964, in Cambridge, Massachusetts to the late Bernie Mancini and Jean Mancini (nee Clark).  She was raised in Somerville, MA where she attended school, graduating from Somerville High School in 1983.  Denise held various jobs throughout her life, primarily in the Insurance industry, until her retirement in 2025. In her youth, Denise enjoyed swimming and playing various sports, which led to her devotion to competitive swimming through her daughter, Emily, and her lifelong love of Boston sports. She had her love for dolphins, musicals and comedy, her eggplant parm, pistachio ice cream,  watching Dancing with the Stars she shared with friends and along with her love of animals. Denise will be remembered for her wit, kindness, sense of humor, her faith, and her devotion to those she loved. Denise wore her heart on her sleeve, especially for her children and grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

Denise is preceded in death by her grandparents Al Underhill and Marion Underhill.

Denise is survived by her five children: Robert Michael, John Patrick, Abygail Rose, Ashley Jean, and Emily Marion Helen; her brother Alfred “Freddie” Mancini and his wife Dina Mancini, their children Sammy, Victoria, and Benny; her beloved cousins and her many grandchildren, who all held a special place in her heart and brought her many years of joy.

Denise will be extremely missed by friends and family. Memories will be shared and laughter will continue through the hearts we carry for Denise. We’ve learned that the beauty of life comes from the ones you love. Mistakes can be fixed, but love is eternal.

John 16:20 “ Truly, Truly, I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful but your sorrow will turn into joy”

John 16:22 “ So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again and your hearts will rejoice.”

There will be a “Celebration of Life” held by the family at a date to be determined in Massachusetts.
