It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dennis "Den" H. Leathem, who left us on August 17, 2024, at the age of 73 of Marianna, Florida. A beloved husband, stepfather, brother, and friend, Den will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Den was known for his kind heart and his willingness to lend a hand, especially when it came to doing tractor work for his friends and family—a task he truly loved. His generosity, warmth, and humor left a lasting impact on those around him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Kavanagh Leathem, of Marianna, FL; his stepdaughters Karen Sawyer (Jesse), Beth Kavanagh (Paul), and Katy Kavanagh; his sister Dale Laird (Mike); and his niece Leslie.
Dennis will be honored and laid to rest at the National VA Cemetery in Tallahassee, Florida. A Celebration of his Life will follow at the Youth Building behind the Methodist Church in Marianna, where family and friends are invited to gather and remember him. Den's kindness and friendship will be cherished forever, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
