Dick L Tow

Dick LeRoy Tow joined his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 14th, 2021. He fought a courageous battle against cancer over the past year and passed peacefully at his winter home in Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother John Herman Tow.
Dick was born in Alma in May of 1944, the son of Merle Claude Tow and Clela Bell (Race). He was married to Sharon Lobsinger in 1963 in Carson City. His primary profession was in telephone and data communications, which had him outside most of the time. To say he enjoyed hunting and fishing would be an understatement. He spread a wide net of love for his family and friends. He had a passion as a Christ-follower and was an Elder at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Mancelona for several years.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years; children Rodney & Syndi Tow; two grand-children Justin Reese( Casey Castanedo) and Michael Tow (Storm Wittenberg); great-grand-daughter Hadley Reese; one brother, Norm & Christi Tow; one sister Shirley & Fritz Strautz; siblings-in-law, Kaye & Dolan Baker; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

My sincerest condolences to you Sharon for your loss. Dick will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
I will dearly miss the times spent with Dick, reminiscing the many experiences he and I had together over the decades of time, from our earliest BB Gun hunts, to the trapping, hunting, and fishing adventures we shared.
May our memories of Dick keep him close for years to come.

Uncle Dick~ Of all the blessings, however great or small, to have had you for an Uncle was the greatest gift of all. You may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.

My dearest friend. Words cannot express how sad I feel that you had to say goodbye to the love of your life, your closest friend. You and Dick were the sum of one creation sharing a lifetime of love and sorrow, faith and hope, one heart beating and one mind full of memories. How strange and empty it must feel for you to know that the physical body that was Dick can no longer be part of your path in life. You are not alone. His spirit is with you, his spirit will always walk by your side. He will hold your hand and guide you thru your days. Feel his presence and share your thoughts with him. Tell him how you feel. Dick was a good Christian man so know that God has welcomed him into paradise. The angel that is Dick is with you always. Love your friend Liz
Dick was a wonderful person. I was privileged to know him.
Simply one of the best human beings I have ever known. Dick was the finest example of what a real man is and was such a great man to have around so often in my formative years. A best friend to my father, Dick and Arnie brought endless memories of laughter and joy into my world. He was so much more than an adopted Uncle to me and I am so thankful for all the time I got to spend near him. My love and condolences to the whole Tow family.
