Diosdado “Bebe” Lagcao

Diosdado “Bebe” Banzon Lagcao, 89-year old Filipino-American from Gainesville, Florida, died
Tuesday, July 23, 2024 in Shands Hospital at the University of Florida, following a long illness.
His life was a blessing to his family, friends, and all the people whose lives he had touched. He was
full of love and kindness. And though he is no longer with us, the memories he left behind will always
be remembered.
Bebe was born in Danao City, Cebu, Philippines. In his younger years, he was known for his grace in
dancing, skill in playing the violin and talent in singing. He was a loving father and a good provider
who had served a Philippine government agency for more than 30 years .
He came to the United States in 2006 to be with his wife and children. He was a member of the Holy
Faith Catholic Community.
Bebe was predeceased by wife Julieta A. Lagcao, who died on January 2, 2021.
He is survived by his children, Caroline, Franklyn, Christine & Robert Benedict, Joyline & Wayne
Benham, Baltazar Alain, Marlene Natividad, and Mary Aileen Lagcao; by three grandchildren,
Holly Andrea Benedict-Grinstead, Robert Francis Benedict, III, and Mary Carla Lagcao; and by
three great grandchildren, Noah Grinstead, Avianna Grinstead, and Austin James Keating.
