Donald James Tourville, known as DJ or Donny by many took his final breath at the young age of 45 on 1/21/2025 in Gainesville FL after his long courageous battle with cancer.
Don was born on 11/21/1979 in Watertown NY to Toni Mullin (Plemmons) and later adopted by his father Jeffrey Tourville. Donald spent most of his life in Plattsburg NY which he often referred to as “the icy tundra” He leaves behind many lifelong friends and family members there. Don was known as the life of the party by everyone who knew him and was known for his beautiful smile and infectious laugh even during the serious times. Rooms always seemed to get brighter as he walked in. Many of his lifelong friendships were built during his lengthy career in the automotive industry as well as his most recent career at Spencer ARL. Although Don was very much a homebody who would have loved to spend all day everyday sitting in his underwear playing Xbox he never said no when his wife wanted to take an impromptu road trip just for “funzies.” Don’s love for God was like nothing I’ve ever seen before, and I take a little comfort knowing that he was finally reunited with the big man upstairs. Don was a Cub scout leader with troop 46 for several years and always took on those kids as his own. One of his favorite pastimes was preforming weddings for everyone who asked with only food as payment because “fat man likes cake” as he always said. He was most proud of his Three boys Troy, Dhamon and Tanner who he could talk about for hours even for their smallest accomplishments.
Left to mourn his loss is his wife Felicia Tourville who he loved with every part of his being. His sons Troy (Bethany) and Don’s one and only granddaughter Dottie Mae who Don was so in love with. Dhamon Tourville and Tanner Shrader (while not his child by blood), were one of his greatest joys in life. His mother Toni Plemmons (Patrick) his father Jeffrey Tourville. Baby brother Brian Tourville (Kristie) who was probably his best friend in the entire world. Brothers James (Sandy) and Joseph (Tiffany) who although he didn’t know long, he was so happy to have known them and come to love them. Mother-in-law Texann Wells (Jeffrey), in laws Candice (Eric), Ashley (Jason), Sean, Melinda and Savannah. Nieces Kayla, Hannah, Hailey, Sarah, Bailey, and Gabby who although not blood lovingly referred to him as Uncle Don. Nieces Emalee and Julie who will always know him as their uncle bum. Nephew Ethan LaPorte as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and so many friends.
Waiting for him at the pearly gates were both his maternal and paternal grandparents, aunt, uncle and many friends.
You are so loved baby, I’m sorry our time was cut so short. Save a seat for me, okay? I love you always.

Although it's been quite some years we saw each other in real life I remember and will never forget my big friend from across the very big pond. Whenever I visited upstate I got the big hug and the 'joy' of Donnies jokes. Sharing many nice days ad Kamie and Austins.
Every once in a while we sent messages and someday we would be making a trip to the Isle of Skye. Unfortunately that will never happen. I will remember him as the friend he was to me.
Sending my condolences to Felicity, sons and everyone who was a friend or relative of him.
