Donald Patton

March 27, 2021

It is with great sadness that the family of Donald Patton, 53, of Jacksonville, Florida  announces his passing after a brief illness, on Saturday, March 27, 2021.  Don was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy E. Patton and Robert N. Patton.

Don was born in New Jersey while his father was in the U. S. Army and  attended school in Alexandria, Virginia.  From there he moved to Greensboro, North Carolina and then to Jacksonville, Florida, where he worked for Hartley Press for many years.  Jacksonville was the perfect place for him, since he loved the beach and going on cruises with his friends

Don will be lovingly remembered by his sister Debbie (Mike) Sansone, brother David Patton and sister Dorothy Patton.  Don is also survived by his step-mother Elaine Patton,  step-sister Shannon (William) Gawehn, and step-brother David Walton.  Don was preceded in death by his step-brother Louis Easterling, and step-sister, Ronni (Robert) Nelson.

Don is survived by his nephew Bryan Sansone and 3 nieces Sarah (Chris) Alexander, Stephanie Patton and Ashley Davis, and many nieces and nephews from his extended family.  We appreciate your love and support during this difficult time.
