Edward E. Sroka, 78, of Gainesville, Florida passed away February 12, 2026. Edward E Sroka was born in Gainesville, Florida on 9-11-1947, to Edward B Sroka and Ruth Sroka.

Ed was a proud veteran; after serving in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam war, he returned to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida. There he graduated with a degree in Geology and discovered a lifelong passion for the Martial Arts as a student and instructor of Cuong Nhu.

After school, Ed enjoyed a successful real estate career and continued to forge strong ties in the Gainesville community. He enjoyed time outdoors and the company of his family and many cherished friends. He laughed with ease, loved unconditionally, and found awe in all parts of life. Ed left this world a better place.

Ed is survived by his wife Karen, son Brannon, daughter in law Angeli, and granddaughter Loreli.

Crevasse’s Simple Cremation is honored to serve the Sroka family.
