Your Wings Were Ready but Our Hearts Were Not
On Sunday, October 18th, 2020, Eleanor (Butch) Elizabeth Grace Bleakley Carrigan, loving mother of four children, passed away at the age of 80, by natural causes, in Ocala Florida.
Eleanor was born on April 18th, 1940, in Tarrytown, New York, to Ralph and Eleanor Bleakley. She was married to George Carrigan and together they had four beautiful daughters.
She loved her parents and children with all her heart. She worked hard every day to raise and provide foe her girls after their father passed away so early in their lives. She had an amazing love for coffee, crocheting, chihuahuas, yellow roses, watching NCIS and and Criminal Minds, and her beloved cat Boots, who is missing her dearly.
Eleanor was preceded in death by both her father Ralph Bleakley and her mother Eleanor Cole Bleakley. Her husband George Joseph Carrigan, her youngest daughter Donna Marie Carrigan Gregory and her brothers Charles Bleakley, John Bleakley, Ralph (Skip Bleakley, and Donald Bleakley. Her great-grandson Donovan along with her partner of many years, Jacob (Jay) Cooper.
Eleanor is survived by three of four daughters, Colleen Mary Carrigan Nadeau, Maureen Ann Carrigan Cannon, and Patricia Ellen Carrigan Traenkner. Her brothers George Bleakley, Gerald (Jerry) Bleakley, and Douglas Bleakley; along with her sisters Donna Bleakley Belmont, Roxanne Bleakley Levis, and Marjorie Bleakley. She also survived by her 16 Grand Children, Melissa, Shaye, Marcus, Christopher, Amber, Timothy, Douglas, Jennifer, Ronald, Dennis, Kevin, Katherine (Katie), Joey, Matthew, Scott, and Kristie and 28 of her 29 Great Grand Children Taylor, Paige, Jason, Marcus, Aubrey, Evelyn, Madison, Hunter, Charlotte, Gabriel, Lucas, Sakura, Damian, Tara, Zain, Vance, Mara, Wyatt, Lilly, Eric, Chantell, Brenden, Megan, Zoey, Hailey, Jacob, Hailey, Jacob, Austin, and Lincoln. Along with one Great Grandchild (a boy) she was excited to meet in March 2021.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Eleanor Carrigan.
On this day, we lost an amazing woman, friend, daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, mother grandmother, and great grandmother.
Those we love do not go away.

Grandma it's been almost 2 weeks, I find myself sitting alone in my bedroom wishing I had sat and talked a little more with you. It's funny just over a week of you being gone, mom thought your cat boots had got out, so while she raninto check I thought I would get your cat and keep it safe, the damn thing scratched me on the same finger boots had bit me on on my birthday… Right after the cat flees mom said boots was still in your room…. I was so mad but got a laugh at the same time. Grandma please help me find strength through these new struggles I'm having sent my way. I love you and miss you Rest Easy!

Grandma I never got to get down there to see you before you were called up. I miss you everyday. You will forever be in the hearts of those who loved you. I wish I could see you one last time. I love you. Until we meet again. Please watch over the family.

Mama, I am not handling this well. I miss you more then you could ever know. Jacob took that little dog statue you gave him to his room…he said my Granny gave me this. I can't let anything happen to it. I miss her and her soda she gives me 😂. I wish I new then what I do now. Things would have been so different. I finally decided how to display your ashes…when I get it done I will post a pic. You are so loved and missed… R.I.P. Mama…tell Sis I love her and miss her.
