Elizabeth Duran, 85, passed peacefully away on June 14, 2026. She was born on Clark Air Force Base on this island of Luzon in the Philippines in the Pampanga Province. Elizabeth was born Christmas Day 1940. She was the only child of of Emiteria and Benjamin Krueger. She immigrated to the United States in 1962 at 22 years old and lived in New Jersey where she got married shortly after she arrived. They started a family and had 3 children in New Jersey before moving to Florida in 1976. She lived in Pinellas County until 1995 when she moved to Jacksonville to be closer to her daughter and son in law.
She loved fashion, jewelry, frogs, and her family above all. She was at the births of all her grand children. As she would say, they were the love of her life.
She is survived by her two children Monique Malzahn (Rich) and John Duran (Mia) along with her grandchildren, Monica, Danny, Emily, Gabrielle, Sofia and Liam. And her great grandson Stephen. She is now reunited with her son Joey who passed away in 1993.
Elizabeth will be remembered for her outgoing personality and the joy she brought to everyone she met.

Monique, your mom always made me smile. You could definitely tell that her grandchildren were the love of her life!

Growing up, I was fortunate to be around her family often. Tita Liz was kind, outspoken, and wonderfully unapologetic. She had a spirited personality that could make you laugh, keep you honest, and remind you exactly why everyone loved her. I have so many fond memories of being with Joey, John, and Monique. Losing Joey at such a young age was heartbreaking, and thinking of Tita Liz now brings back so many cherished memories of them all.
For all of us who grew up knowing and loving Tita Liz and her family, her passing brings with it the loss of a piece of our childhood. Yet there is comfort in imagining that the long years of separation are finally over, and that she has been reunited with the son she loved so deeply and never stopped carrying in her heart.
May Tita Liz rest peacefully in God’s loving embrace. My heartfelt condolences to John, Monique, and the entire family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Monique I am truly sorry for you and your family. I know this is a huge loss. Your sweet Mom was full of life and loved you all dearly. Thank you for sharing her. I have a wonderful memories of sharing dinners with you two.Keeping you all in my prayers. Much love Judy
