Eric Allen Whitted

Eric Allen Whitted, 34, of Pinellas Park, Florida, passed away on August 24, 2025, as the result of an automobile accident.

Born on November 9, 1990, in St. Petersburg, Florida, Eric was the son of Leland “Lee” Whitted and Lori (Stratton) Crossley. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business from St. Petersburg College a reflection of his dedication and drive.

Eric was an avid fisherman who found great joy on the water, especially spending time at the family island. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors and the time he cherished with those closest to him.

He is survived by his grandmother, Marianna Morgan of Chillicothe, Ohio; his mother and stepfather, Lori and Michael Crossley of Ocala, Florida; his father, Lee Whitted of St. Petersburg, Florida; his brother, Ryan James Whitted and his wife, Ashley (Morlock) Whitted, and their children, Kyle and Colin, of Fayetteville, North Carolina.

He is also survived by his aunts, Leigh Ann (Stratton) DuBois of Crawfordville, Florida; Kimberly (Cohmer) Cook of Chillicothe, Ohio; Tammy (Cohmer) Dentler of Lakeland, Florida; and Laura Whitted of Pinellas Park, Florida; his uncles, Anthony “Tony” Cohmer of Columbus, Ohio, and Michael Whitted and his wife, Lisa, of Tarpon Springs, Florida; as well as several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, David Berdett Stratton, of Leesburg, Ohio as well as his grandparents Dr. Eric A and Betty Jean (Thorp) Whitted of St. Petersburg, FL, and uncle, James D. Stratton of Chillicothe, Ohio.
