Erin Seval Schlagel

Erin Seval Schlagel, passed away peacefully on October 2nd, 2026, at 1:25 PM at Haven Hospice in Gainesville. She was born in Ankara, Turkey in 1957. She went to Harlaxton College in England on scholarship. As part of an exchange program, she transferred to Indiana University where she met my father, eventually got married, and gave birth to her only child, Alex Schlagel. She would later go to Ole Miss where she earned a Law School degree. Erin was sweet, extremely intelligent, funny, deeply altruistic, and at times, peppery. She enjoyed being a Gigi to her granddaughter more than anything. She will be deeply missed and remembered by all the lives she touched with love.
