George Brewster, Jr.

June 26, 2024

George Edward Brewster, Jr. earned his wings at age 48, on June 26th, 2024. George was born on February 21st, 1976 to George and Mary Brewster in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. George graduated in 1994 from Daniel Boone High School located in Gray, TN, where he was a member of the band’s drum line and football team. He took great honor in raising the school flags every day with his fellow JROTC members.  After graduating he went on to study Mathmatics at East Tennessee State University before facing his serious health issues.

George didn’t permit his health issues to prevent him from enjoying his life and making memories with those he loved and treasured. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, swimming, camping, puzzles, video games, and traveling. He was the ultimate Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He loved to attend concerts and was always listening to music. After moving to Jacksonville, he enjoyed spending time on the beach and trying to convince his family that he needed another cat.

George was preceded in death by his father, George Edward Brewster, his maternal grandparents, James and Mary Lou Ketterman, his paternal grandparents, William and Catherine Campbell Brewster, his maternal uncle, Stephen Ketterman, maternal aunt, Cynthia Haney, paternal uncles William, Thomas and John Henry Brewster, and paternal aunts Mary Laster and Sharon Brewster. He is survived by his mother, Mary Kathleen Ketterman-Brewster, sister and brother-in-law, Danielle Hope and Shawn David Vanover, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. George loved them all.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your local animal shelter in his honor. George would have adopted them all if he could. And while you're donating, George would tell you to look around, you might just find your next best friend.

Crevasse's Simple Cremation is honored to serve the Brewster family.
