Grover "Jimbo" Davis

Grover “Jimbo” Davis, a Gainesville native, passed peacefully in his home on June 4, 2020 in Gainesville, FL to be with our Lord and Savior at the age of 69.
Grover was born on January 18,1951 in Gainesville, FL to Grover M Davis II & Edythe May Davis. He began working in construction when he was a teenager and continued to do so for the majority of his life before retiring due to cancer. He was a fisherman, frequenting fishing holes regularly while enjoying the company of friends and family. He loved all four of his children greatly, continuing to care for and aid them the remainder of his life. Jimbo was very sociable and cherished the relationships of his friends and family.
Grover is survived by his brother: Wallace “Steve” Davis and his four children: Debbie Diamond, Bucki Davis, Corey Davis, and Shelby Davis; along with scores of extended family.
