Born in: Jacksonville, Florida
Resided in: Middleburg, Florida

Halle Leo Wilson, Jr., age 73, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Sunday, February 15th 2026.

He was born in Jacksonville, Florida to Marion Wilson and Halle Wilson Sr., who preceded him in death.

Halle was a loving husband, son, father, and mentor to many. He led his life with compassion and courage. He was a professional wrestler for over twenty years of his life, and worked for the City of Jacksonville when he stepped away from the ring. He loved to write stories and share them with others, a talent that will be missed greatly by his family and friends. Halle also loved to take photos, always being the man behind the camera. He was passionate about his family history, and Jacksonville history, and never missed game day when he could sit back with his wife and daughters to enjoy football and cheer on the Alabama Crimson Tide. He had a big personality, and always made those around him laugh. Love was the most important thing to him.

He is survived by his wife, Julie Marie Wilson, his three daughters and their spouses, Halee Filion (Timothy Filion), Ashley McCray (Josh McCray), and Heather Cook (Ryan Cook), as well as his six grandchildren, Taylor Cook, Kara Cook, Chloe Cook, Avery McCray, Aiden McCray, and Liam McCray. His adoration for them will never be forgotten.

Not only is his memory kept alive by his family, but by all of the people whose hearts he has touched over the years. The friends and found family he made – although their names are numerous and cannot be listed here, they were some of the most important people to him.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (click here) , so that we may continue fighting to find a cure in Halle’s honor.

Please contact the family for details of the upcoming Celebration of Life they are holding.

He will be deeply missed beyond comprehension by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Crevasse’s Simple Cremation is honored to serve the Wilson family.
