Knopf, Herman Frederick. Herman F. Knopf, 74 of Gainesville, Florida passed away October 25, 2017. He was born June 26, 1943 in Cincinnati, OH, the youngest of 4 children born to the late Herman F. and Hilda Knopf. Herman graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Pharmacy in 1967 and served his community as a pharmacist for more than 40 years. A talented artist, Herman was an award-winning photographer and accomplished in the art of woodworking and furniture design. He had a dry sense of humor and was loved by all that knew him. Herman had a particular penchant for fine watches, rich food, and an adventurous spirit. He is preceded in death by his elder sister Elsie Knopf Boyer. He is survived by his two sisters (Katie Knopf Weed and Erna Knopf Richter), three children (Herman T. Knopf and wife Kristin E. Knopf, Andrew F. Knopf and wife Jennifer F. Knopf, and Hannah E. Knopf), four grandchildren (Tyler, Elise, Mackenzie, and Reed), beloved nieces and nephews William, Karen, Robert, Barbara, Janie, David, Douglass and Jill Ann, and close friend Mary Ann Courts.
