Jackie Everett Stanley was born on May 30th, 1937 to Marie and Ernest Stanley in Copperhill, Tennessee was a devoted husband, caring father, lively grandfather, and well-adored great-grandfather. He passed away on September 1st, 2026 surrounded by family.
From humble beginnings in the red clay of Copperhill, Tennessee, Jack worked hard to provide his family with a better life. He supported his wife, Mary Ann, and the professional and academic careers of his three children, Scott, Mark, and Shawn, all while sending money home to support his mother upon his father’s passing. Later in life Jack received a promotion to “Papa” upon the arrival of his grandchildren from 1995-2004 and later his great grandchildren from 2020-2024. He loved running, bluegrass music, working out at the YMCA, reading, camping with his children and grandchildren, and smiling with his great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his mother Marie, father Ernest, brothers Bobby and Jimmy, wife Mary Ann, granddaughter Bonnie, son Mark, and canine companions Bebe and Springer. He is survived by a long line of loving family and close friends. His circle, both living and dead, remains unbroken, always keeping on the sunny side, as they gratefully await a heavenly reunion with their son, brother, husband, father, and Papa.
Crevasse’s Simple Cremation is honored to serve the Stanley family.
