Born in: Brooklyn, New York
Resided in: Ocala, Florida

James John Fulbrook, born August 1, 1962, passed away peacefully in Ocala, Florida on April 26, 2026. He was 63 years old.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, James attended Canarsie High School before eventually settling in Staten Island, where he built his life and career. He worked for the New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY) from 1987 until his retirement in 2004, and later continued working as a longshoreman at Howland Hook Marine Terminal from 1997 until 2013. He retired to Florida in 2017.

James was a devoted father, husband, and grandfather who took great pride in the life he built with his family. When he wasn’t working, on his days off, and especially during his retirement, he enjoyed going on cruises. He spent much of his life putting others before himself, and in his later years, he embraced what made him happy. During this time, he met Rhonda, and in her he found the love and happiness he had been searching for.

He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Audenzia “Nancy” Fulbrook and James Fulbrook Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda; his daughter, Roxanne Geiger (Christopher); his son, James Fulbrook; and his grandson, Christopher Geiger, who he adored. He is also survived by his brothers, Dennis and Robert.

James will be remembered not only for his strength and resilience, but for the way he made people feel. He was the kind of man who treated everyone like family, someone who could light up a room, and a steady presence in the lives of so many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Forever loved and never forgotten.
