James Nevin Gantz
1940-2021
James Nevin Gantz (“Jim”) born in Manheim, Pennsylvania to the late Mary Huber and the late Clifford
Gantz, passed away at age 81 on March 21, 2021 in Jacksonville, FL. Jim was the loving husband of
Virginia (“Ginny”) for 60 years until his passing in 2021. He is survived by his three daughters Terry
Shaffer, Lynda Gantz, and Valerie Kissinger; brothers Bill, Richard, Tom and Mike Gantz; and grandson
Erik Shaffer. He is predeceased by daughter Sandra Marie Gantz and grandson Brant James Boynton. Jim
served his country as a PFC in the United States Marine Corp and upon honorable discharge, pursued a
life-long career in the trucking industry. He was an avid outdoorsman with a love of hunting, fishing,
boating, wildlife, and nature. He enjoyed fast muscle cars and motorcycles. Jim was dearly loved, will be
greatly missed, and will always be in our hearts.
