Jan Laware, a devoted sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on September 2, 2024, at the age of 75, in Middleburg, Florida. Born on April 18, 1949 in Wichita KS. Jan lived a life filled with passion, love, and dedication to her family and animals.
A talented and multifaceted individual, Jan was a skilled horse trainer and teacher, certified animal communicator and medical transcriptionist. Her love for animals and her gift for understanding them inspired countless lives.
Jan is survived by her loving sister, Gail Forney (Brent); her devoted daughter, Dawn VanAuken (Kyle); four cherished grandchildren; and a precious great-grandchild. Her legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to animal welfare organizations or charities close to Jan's heart. A celebration of Jan's life will be held at a later date, where friends and family can gather to share stories and memories of her remarkable life.

Jan was a devoted daughter mother sister grandmother and great grandmother. She loved animals. Horses the most. Her three were really special to her. She taught people how to ride English and jump. She was always working with horses. She is riding now in heaven.
She was a loving cousin who I always enjoyed seeing on sumer vacation growing up. Been next to forever since I last saw her in Watcha. RIP Jan Love ya.
