Mr. Jeffery Hal (“Jeff”) Davison, son of the late Donald Davison and Katherine Davison/Lees was born June 29, 1956, in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He attended public school in El Paso, Texas, and was a graduate of Coronado High School, attended University of Texas and later California State University in Los Angeles, California, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, graduating with a 3.85 out of 4.0 average. Jeff was married to Diane Kay Shifflett/Davison in 1979, and is survived by his mother, Katherine Davison, his brother, Dr. James Lindsey Davison, sons Matthew Emory Davison and Nathan Scott Davison, daughter Amanda Meredith Davison, wife, Diane Kay Davison, niece Lindsay Davison, and two grandchildren, Penelope Lorena Davison and Emerie Reese Davison.
Jeff was an entrepreneurial spirit who, together with his partners, George Faucher and Phil Hargrove, were responsible for two successful software engineering companies. Although he considered himself a “homebody,” Jeff traveled the world for his work, and occasionally for pleasure. His travels took him to China, Australia, South Africa, Western Europe, and points between. Jeff also enjoyed writing, and authored several works of fiction. He also enjoyed the sciences, and was particularly fond of astronomy. However, the only thing Jeff loved more than his work was his family. He enjoyed spending his free time with his wife, his mother, brother and his family, his three children, and his children’s children, namely his two grandchildren. Jeff was the rock and cornerstone of his family, and will be greatly missed.
Jeff passed peacefully and unexpectedly in his sleep on November 19th, 2018, and although too soon, of natural causes. He is preceded in passing by his father, Donald Davison. His memory will forever be cherished in the lives of his children: Matthew Emory Davison of Dallas, Texas, Nathan Scott Davison, of Long Island, New York, and Amanda Meredith Davison, of Kansas City, Kansas, and his grandchildren, Penelope Lorena Davison, and Emerie Reese Davison.

Condolences to Diane and the rest of Jeff’s family and friends. He was truly one of a kind. I’ve never met such an amazing software developer that also had a wealth of business and creative knowledge. Jeff was 1 in a million. I’ve also met few who could match Jeff’s willingness to help a fellow worker and friend, asking nothing in return. He was a tireless giver never seeking the spotlight he deserved. He was also a good friend who I wish I would have stayed in touch with more. I am sorry for your and our loss. Please let me know where I can make a donation in his memory. Sincerely, Tony Perri
So sorry to hear this, although late. I spent a year working along side Jeff at Allen Systems Group in Naples, FL. I worked on his snmx language and had a great time getting to know Jeff. Always thought about him from time to time over the years since then. My condolences.
