Joanne Virginia Parks, 87, of Ocala, Florida passed away December 27, 2020.
Joanne was born September 23, 1933 in Canton, OH, the second oldest of nine children to Samuel and Katherine (Larson) Abrigg. A devoted wife and mother, Joanne went on to marry Thomas Elroy Parks Sr. and raise six beautiful children. In her later years as a widow, Joanne enjoyed spending time working jigsaw puzzles, watching TV, and taking trips all over the country to visit friends and family.
She is survived by her son William (Molly) Parks of Jacksonville, AL, and daughters Suzanne (Joe) McCallister of North Carolina, Roxanne (Nelson) Hernandez of Germantown, MD, Marianne Parks of Ocala, FL, and Dianne Hagerty of Independence, MO. Also surviving are sisters Patricia Thewes, Carol (Jim) Peterson, Linda Thomas, and brother Mark (Cathy) Abrigg, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Just wanted to let you know that I kept my promise and back in February brought a new dog into the family. We named her Josie after you and she has a lot of your personality traits so it's like you're still in the house. Hope you are living it up in Heaven. Love, Sam.
