Joseph Charles Bruno was born March 5, 1942 and passed away peacefully August 26, 2018 at his home surrounded by family. Joe, also known by Pops by friends and family, was an amazing father and a wonderful friend to those who knew him. Joe served in the Marines from 1961-1969 until starting a career at Bell-South as a Service Tech in which he retired after 31 years. Joe loved music and singing but his greatest joy in life was being a marine.

To Roger and Tanya and family, Our condolences to you all. Last saw Joe at Croton-on-the Hudson at his mother’s home. Think I would have recognized him from the obituary even though 50 years have gone by. Cousin Eleanor (Joseph and Kay’s daughter
Roger and Tanya, I haven’t seen Joseph since probably the year that Donna and Jimmy Miller married, so a very long time ago. My most memorable memory of him was even longer ago when he was in the Marines and he and Aunt Olga and Uncle Bob came to our house in Connecticut for (I think) Christmas. He was wearing his full dress Marine uniform and was very impressive to me. He declined to have desert, which to my young mind meant that all Marines passed up desert because that’s what made them so tough! It is difficult to lose a loved one; our sympathy to you, Roger and to Tanya and siblings.
Dad, You will always be a part of my life. I love you.
Semper Fi my brother. I will always remember our escapades in Ossining and in the Corps. Wish I could have been there at the end. Save room for me.
