Katherine Frazier O’Quinn, lovingly known to many as “Mema,” passed away peacefully on April 12, 2026, at the age of 96. She lived a long, healthy, and deeply meaningful life surrounded by family and those who loved her dearly.

Born on August 7, 1929, in Summerville, Florida, Katherine was a proud lifelong resident of Gainesville. She attended the University of Florida during its historic first year of admitting women and was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority.

In 1951, she married Hague O’Quinn and they were married until he passed away in 2007.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynne Campen and her husband John; her sons, Kenneth O’Quinn and Michael O’Quinn; her grandchildren, Brad and his wife Shirley and their children Cooper and Alexander; and Bryan and his wife April and their children Kendall and Macey. She also leaves behind many dear friends.

Katherine devoted much of her professional life to working as a bookkeeper, where her diligence and integrity were evident to all who knew her. Yet her greatest devotion was always to her family. She was a loving and faithful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt whose kindness, warmth, and quiet strength left a lasting imprint on all who knew her.

Katherine will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering love for her family, and her beautiful smile.  She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing her.

Crevasse’s Simple Cremation is honored to serve the O’Quinn family.
