Kim D. Shannon

Kim D. Shannon of Starke, Florida, passed away on April 15, 2026.

Kim Dee Shannon son of Bobby and Jean Shannon born on November 7, 1955. He graduated from Ocala High School. He joined the Navy for 4 years. Upon completion of his Navy service in 1981 he went to Tampa’s electronics school. Kim than worked for Arrow Shirt factory in Atlanta, Georgia. Tired of big city he returned to Florida to work at Kingsley Lake for Roger Bergman as a jack of all trades life guard, maintenance etc. Later he worked in Gainesville as maintenance man for apartments. Than he worked for Bakers Distributing . Then he went out on disability. Kim loved living in Florida, fishing, and swimming. He did repairs for his parents home. Kim also loved to work on his truck or car. In June 1983 Kim and his Mom went to Scotland to visit family. Kim always helped anyone that he could. That just was the way he was.

He had a lot of friends, never married. He was proceeded in death by his father Bobby Shannon and his brother Billy Shannon. He is survived by his mother Jean Shannon, brother Robby and wife Kathy, sister Jenny and husband John Harper. Several nieces & nephews, Andy Harper, Kayleigh Harper, Skylar Harper, Brittany Lewis husband Kenneth, Hunter Shannon wife Amanda, James Shannon wife Hannah, Christopher Shannon wife Carleigh.
