Laura Anne Dixon, 50, passed away on May 23rd 2017 in Gainesville, Florida following a very long courageous battle with cancer and cancer complications. Laura was born in Fort Lauderdale, FL on March 16th, 1967, and was the youngest of two children born to Marsha A. and Jack O. Krell. Laura was a cheerleader at Interlachen High School and graduated in 1985. Shortly after she had a short stint in the United States Air Force. She worked at Shands Hospital and then for The Alachua County court system.
Laura enjoyed anything that had to do with the beach, cooking, baking and loved to plant and watch her flowers grow. She loved the 80’s and still kept in touch with many of her classmates from high school. Her favorite music groups were the Beatle’s and anything that had to do with John, Paul, Ringo and George and she also loved Prince. Laura was a devoted mother to Ryan L. Dixon and called Melrose, FL her home.
Laura is preceded in death by Maternal Grandparents Robert J. and Marcella Pelleteri ,Sr. and Paternal Grandparents Julia and Oaks Krell.
Laura is survived by her mother Marsha A. Krell, Gainesville, FL, her father John O. ( Jack ) Krell ( Darlene ), Brooksville, FL, her son Ryan L. Dixon and his girlfriend Sarah Herd, Davie, FL, her sister Sharon L. ( Shari ) Kempton and her husband Jeffrey D. Kempton, Archer, FL, her nephew Cory D. Kempton, Archer, FL, her niece Jenna L. Kempton, Archer, FL, her companion Shane Townsend, Melrose, FL, Aunts Joan A. Douglass, Gainesville, FL, Michelle Colesberry, ( Keith ), Hawhorne, FL, Uncle Robert Pelleteri ( Karen ) Hawthorne, FL, and cousins Jody Jerolaman, Hawthorne, FL, David Colesberry ( Jessica ) Hawthorne, FL, Audra Edwards ( Derek ) Hawthorne, FL, and Robbie and Michael Pelleteri, Ohio.
Laura leaves behind her beloved pets, dog Daisy and cat Marley and many loving and devoted friends.
