                                                                            I'm Free

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free. I'm following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard Him call. I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found the peace at the close of day. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss. Ah, yes these things I, too, will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. My life's been full. I've savored much, Good friends, good times, A loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and peace to thee, God wanted me now; He set me free!

  1. I met Lilly a year ago as one of her caregivers .
I truly enjoyed her and and she was always happy. She talked about her husband Leo quite often and saying that he was a good man . It is comforting to know that she is heaven with him.
She will be missed by everyone .

  2. Lily was a sweet lady. With the most beautiful smile You've  ever seen. She loved going for rides, listening to music and dancing. She had a wonderful wonderful relationship with her daughter Karen. And she loved to cut up with Rick. They were so funny. She talked about grandchildren Ricky and Danielle daily. I will always have great memories of  Lily.

  3. I have known Lilly’s daughter Karen for many years and is a dear dear friend.  When I met Lilly, I knew right away what a great mother she was.  Her smile and her laughs made anyone feel right at home. I think anyone that got to know her became instant friends.  Her love and beauty is seen in her family. She shared her friendship and love with my daughter.  Lilly will be dearly missed very much.  She is now in heaven with Christ smiling down at us.  We love and will miss you Lilly.

  4. Lily was my aunt. I have missed her smile and her laugh. She was so well put together every time I saw her. Will miss you.

  5. Lily and I met at Petroleum Information in Denver, CO where we worked together after school as teenagers and became very good friends, in fact she had a friend that was being discharged from the Marines due to medical reasons and set up a blind date with him and myself, we ended up getting married.

Lily was a great friend, we had lots of fun together, but as time went on we saw less and less of each other as she and Leo moved around quite a bit. I think of her often and wonder where she is and how she is, just by chance I looked online to see if I could find out where she was, I was so saddened to find that she has just passed. I send my condolences to her family and friends, I know how much she will be missed and I will always remember and love her.

  6. I have known sweet lily my whole 31 years she was my grandmas best friend in the whole world. She loved my kids like they were her own in fact calling them her own especially my son Xavier. Her and Leo were fabulous people and I will truly miss her. So happy she keeps finally back with her Leo I hope they’re having a cold beer and enjoying each other again. Rest In Peace sweet lady we love you

  7. I first met Lily 62 years ago when she was 21. I considered her one of my best friends through all those years. She was a vibrant and beautiful lady and would always light up the room. We had a lot of fun times together and shared some tough ones too. She was a very positive person and always made the best of a situation and went forward. Her children and family were her primary concern. She and Leo made so many moves with his work. From Alaska to Hawaii,Los Angeles and Texas. And many more within Oregon,Washington,Colorado and Arizona. She always decorated and made each place "Home". Lily was a good cook and extended invitations to eat with them, and then usually a game of cards or other game followed. She also liked to read a lot of books. Our admiration goes out to her daughter, Karen, for taking such good care of her Mom. Lily will always be in our memories and hearts.
