Marilyn Bloom Jacobs

Marilyn Bloom Jacobs died on Sunday morning, March 29, 2026.

Marilyn was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the third child of Joseph Bender Bloom and Alma Dietch. She graduated from Carlow College with her bachelor’s degree in nursing, became a Registered Nurse, and later earned her master’s degree in education from Temple University.

Marilyn worked as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania for many years before moving with her family to Florida, where she became a licensed Registered Nurse and continued her nursing career from 1973 to 2006. She also taught courses at the University of North Florida. After retiring from nursing, Marilyn enjoyed a second career as a real estate agent in the Jacksonville and beaches areas.

Marilyn often said, “Make every day count,” and she lived by those words. She brought beauty, care, and purpose to everything she touched—her home, her yard, and the lives of those around her.

She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Marilyn is survived by her three children—David, Jeff, and Kathy; her six grandchildren—Haley, Hays, Hannah, Summer, Sky, and Indigo; and her great-grandchildren—Wyatt, Meadow, Rain, Sage, and Scarlett.

She is loved forever.
