Merrill was also deeply devoted to her faith and found great joy in attending and spending time with her friends in the WOW Sunday School Class at Deerwood Meadows Baptist Church. The friendships she formed there provided her with encouragement, fellowship, and many happy moments throughout the years.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy King-Hodges; son-in-law, Edward Hodges; and grandson, Alexander Hodges. Granddaughter-in-law Adeline Whitlock (William) and grandson-in-law Matthew Hodges (Jamie). She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
“Her life was a blessing; her memory was a treasure. She was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.”
