Oliver Savoy

Oliver “Cheyenne” Savoy, 85, of Interlachen, FL, passed away on Saturday, January 9th, 2021 peacefully in his sleep after a long battle with stroke complications.

He was born on June 14th, 1935 in Houghton, Michigan. Oliver served in the military for many years after graduating high school. He married his wife, Margaret Savoy, on February 14th, 1987. In December 1998, Oliver and Margaret adopted their only child together, Darlene Savoy. Oliver also has a son, Steve Savoy, of Indiana; and a daughter, Angela Tarrance, of Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Oliver worked as a carpenter in Interlachen for many years, building homes, decks, and patios for his friends and residents of Interlachen. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, race car driving, and spending time with his family.

Oliver is survived by his wife Margaret and their daughter Darlene; his daughter Angela and his son Steve; his brothers Kenneth Savoy and Terrence “Terry” Savoy; his sister, Judy Trevethan; his step-son, David Johnson; his daughter-in-law, Julie Johnson; and his grandson, David Johnson Jr. He is also survived by numerous extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his father, Oliver Savoy and his step-mother, Veronica Savoy; his sister, Marie Darlene Savoy; and his brothers, Chester Savoy and Robert “Jimmy” Savoy.
