Patrick John McGonigle, 63, of Newberry, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 4,
2017, surrounded by his family at Haven Hospice in Gainesville, Florida.
Patrick was born on August 1, 1953, to the late Joanne Tilley and Cornelius
McGonigle in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
Patrick is survived by his wife of 39 years, Ann McGonigle; daughter and spouse,
Katherine McGonigle and Brian Schafer; daughter, Megan McGonigle; daughter,
Tara McGonigle; son, Ryan McGonigle; sister, Marjorie Noyes; brother and sister-
in-law, Mike and Jill McGonigle; brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Luann
McGonigle; brother and sister-in-law, John and Wanda Stryny McGonigle; sister
and brother-in-law, Megan and Nick Brown.
Patrick loved his family and friends, music, golf, playing guitar, and everything
Irish. Pat had a sharp and witty sense of humor. He loved politics and was never
afraid to share his opinions. He was an accomplished multi-sport athlete and
consummate competitor. He lived life to the fullest even after his illness, Pat
continued to love life.

Pat was a friend and co-worker of mine at Nortern Telecom Finance. I just learned a few min. ago of his passing away last summer. I’m so saddened by this news. RIP my friend.
