Peter M Higgs

HIGGS, Peter M., 77, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026 in Ocala, Fl. He Is the son of the late Tilden M. Higgs and Anna (Schmidt) Higgs. Peter is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Linda (Lehr) Higgs; daughters Diana (Steven) Craig, Mary Ellen Higgs, Amanda M. (Brock) Tapp, step-children Tracy (Don) Johnson and David Sheridan; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers William Higgs, Steven (Sandy) Higgs, Thomas Higgs; mother-in-law Virginia Lehr; sister-in-law Cheryl Lehr and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

He worked as a Steamfitter for nearly 50 years. He loved bowling, spending time with family, friends and his beloved dog, Ginger. He was also an avid horseshoe player.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
