Leandra
Raymond Lee Wamack, 85, of Archer, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 21 following a brief illness. He now joins his beloved wife, Beverly G. Rogers Wamack, who preceded him in death on November 28, 2025. Their bond was one of deep companionship, and it brings comfort to those who knew them to imagine them reunited once more.
Raymond lived a life defined by dedication, quiet strength, and an enduring love for his family. He is survived by his four stepchildren—Kenneth Grundmann of Archer, Florida; Bruce Grundmann Taylor of Arkansas; Steven Arduine of Newberry, Florida; and his daughter, Audra Montoya of Archer, Florida—each of whom carries forward his memory and the values he lived by.
A proud veteran, Raymond served honorably in the United States Marine Corps from 1960 to 1965. During his service in the Vietnam War, he demonstrated courage and commitment to his fellow servicemen and his country. His bravery did not go unnoticed, as he was the recipient of several commendations, including the Bronze and Silver Stars—an enduring testament to his character and sacrifice.
Following his military service, Raymond devoted 20 years of his life as a maintenance supervisor at Purendondo Farms. Known for his strong work ethic and dependable nature, he took pride in his work and the relationships he built along the way.
In retirement, Raymond embraced the simple joys of life. He found peace in camping trips, casting a line while fishing, and spending hours in his workshop, always tinkering and creating. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family, especially with his beloved wife Beverly, who was his constant companion and closest friend.
Raymond will be remembered for his steady presence, his quiet kindness, and the love he gave so freely to those around him. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories his family holds dear.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and/or the Wounded Warrior Project, in honor of Raymond’s service and the sacrifices of those who serve.
